CHAPTER 8: THE GANGS ALL HERE

The Wall of Dark Haven. The group is still there waiting. The sisters are sitting down both leaning on the left and right shoulder of Michael , whom is also on the floor. They are sound asleep. Haven is leaning with his arms on the side of the wall looking to the direction of the north.
Eric walks over to him.
Eric, “Nervous or anxious?”
Haven pauses, then without looking at him says, “Both.”
Eric, “This will be the first real conflict you ever been part of isn’t it?”
Haven slightly looks at him then back out to the openness
Haven, “Yes, I only hear my father‘s stories of the Over Come, that is something I wish I could have been a part of. Something of honor and great respect. Not this.”
Eric with his hand on Haven’s shoulder, “You are son, you are.”
Suddenly a loud squealing sound comes from the left of them. As they both look it is Walter hanging upside down from the tree that hangs over the bridge. He is snoring horrendously.  They both look at each other and share a laugh.
Haven looks out the corner of his eye towards the north, then turns his head. With a solemn face of  determination he says, “she is here.”
Soon Melissa is on the wall with the rest. Melissa looks to see who is present then she smiles and turns to Haven.
“You did it, you even got Eric. I’m proud of you lover.”
Haven, “this will be for not. Where is the Army you spoke of?”
Melissa walking over near Michael and the twins, looking down at them she replies to Haven.
“Don’t worry, that is going as I planned also.”
She kicks Michael, he slightly opens his eye.
“hey, your sister is back brother. I made It back from grey wolf territory. What have you to say?”
Michael looking up and closing his eyes again  says, “great now wake me when the army gets here.”
Melissa turning away, “Useless, just useless.”
Melissa, “Well Eric we can’t just sit up hear in all this open space someone may see us.”
Eric without a word lifts his arms to the sky and puts his hands together.
He speaks, “doku flage’ camah.”
Just then a cloak of nothingness covers them making it seem as if no one is on the wall.
Inside what appears to be the Castle of Luscious, we see Zykrel, Saige, and Geran. They are in room with armors on the walls and weapons as well.
Geran, “Did you send word to those two?”
Saige, “Yeah I did. They should be here.”
Just then Alex and Christopher walk in.
Christopher, “You know I have to be fashionably late, that way all eyes will be on me when I enter the room.”
Zykrel in a serious tone, “Okay, we’re all here. We have to patrol this entire city in a few hours. The guest will be arriving directly in the morrow.”
Christopher to Zykrel, “Yes I seen that the troops have been deployed to all corners of the wall and any not so secret passage ways.”
Alex, “Yeah so I guess that’s why Your brother was up there, huh?”
Zykrel in an excited yet angered tone, “Haven? You seen Haven on the Wall?!”
Christopher with a lost look on his face, “Yes, he was there with your sisters as well.”
Alex, “Yeah and that whack job, Eric.”
Zykrel, “Fine, I have no idea what he is up to. But he and his associates are no exception to the orders of destroying anyone or thing that doesn’t belong where we find them.”
Saige, “Good, so can we get what we need from here and go?”
Geran, “Saige is right, we should go soon.”
Zykrel in agreement nods his head.
Everyone goes to a rack of weapons, they are grabbing unseen weapons, putting them on there side under their cloaks.
Christopher, “Good, then we’re off.”
At the top of a building, that seems to be a skyscraper. Joshua is pulling the scroll from the bag he throws the bag down, as if he doesn’t need it anymore. As he opens the scroll he kneels on the roof. Saint is standing a few feet away from him, watching.
Saint, “So how is this gonna work? Do I just jump on your back?”
Joshua looks up at him only slightly tilting his head.
Joshua, “I can assign you to the travel with me, just have to be with in a mile of me when it happens, too much further than that and there is no guarantee we’ll end up in the same place.”
Saint smiles, “No problem, I will be right with you dark one.”
Joshua focuses his attention back on to the scroll.
He puts hands together, rubs them, then puts them down on the scroll. It has many markings on it. His blue eyes begin to pulsate slightly, but not much brighter than they already are.
Joshua to himself, “Tach ki morva swoothe.”
The markings on the scroll glow. He removes his right hand, the palm  is glowing the same color of the writing, red. He motions for Saint to come closer. He extends his right hand.
Saint approaches and grabs his hand as if to shake it, a sizzling sound comes from their hands. Saint has an expression on his face of slight pain. He starts trying to pull his hand away, but Joshua isn’t letting go.
Joshua, “Parto, enda.”
He lets go of Saints hand and places his back on the scroll. Saint is looking at the palm of his hand There is a Star with a globe inside of it burned into his flesh.
Joshua removes both hands and stands up.
Joshua, “Okay”
Saint still looking at his hand, looks over at Joshua. He rolls the scroll up, then raises his left hand holding it.
Joshua, “Return”
He tosses the scroll, it disappears.
Saint, “So how long before it works?”
Joshua walking towards the edge of the building. It is tall enough to see the many ruins of a millennium past. The streets are over taken by small demonic creatures and plant life cracking thru the cement. Joshua raises his head to look strait out to the horizon.
Joshua, “three hours.”
Saint is looking in the same direction. He walks up near Joshua’s left side.
Saint, who is looking out to the horizon as well.
Saint, “I see they are already welcoming their guests for the ceremony.”
In the city square there is a huge stage. In front there are hundreds of chairs placed. The chairs are of solid red wood, with red cushions, similar to small thrones.
On the street that leads to the square are dozens of vampires on the sidewalks. They are dressed in various armors, with shields in front of them. They all carry long swords that are still in sheath on their sides.
On the roads, there are huge coaches being carried by 12 horse like creatures, with red eyes and   puffing smoke from their nostrils.
There are at least
Twenty of these coaches filling the streets. They are made of dark wood laced with golden trim. They are all heading towards the square.
As they travel, there are dozens of their private security walking beside and behind each coach. These Vampires have no cloaks , their armor is shiny and well kept. Various colors of armor per coach. Some are silver, others gold also many black armored knights.  It is impossible to see inside the dark glass of the  huge coaches.
The coachmen are dressed in red and black hooded cloaks, covering their bodies and faces.
Someone is riding one of the huge beasts that resemble a horse, it has two small horns on it’s head like a ram. The eyes are black it is also blowing smoke from it’s nostrils.
The person on the horse is riding around the line of coaches as if making sure everything is in order.
On the wall Melissa and company are still covered by the illusion. Michael is looking down from left to right.
Michael, “I didn’t think it would be this may of them? Each coach has to have at least six  inside them.”
Walter perched on the side of the wall is also looking then he turns his head to Michael.
Walter, “Is that fear I hear in your voice? You won’t mind the numbers after you change into something more suitable.”
Melissa is also looking over the edge, but the opposite side. She remains silent.
Eric notices this and walks over to her. He props his sword on his shoulder and starts speaking to her.
“Are you having second thoughts? Still time to walk away. No one will think lesser of you.”
Melissa without looking at him responds.
“I am not having second thoughts. Just waiting til the time comes, so we can get started.”
The twins are also looking over the edge, watching the streets.
Cynthia, “It is going to be marvelous, right sister?”
Stephanie licking her lips, “Yes sister, a grand battle and feast all in one.”
Melissa Stands up strait from her leaning position. She sees something.
Melissa, “Their here, let’s go.”
She jumps off the wall while she is falling the others follow behind her.
Haven grabs her in mid fall and lands with her in his arms.
Melissa holding on to Haven, “Will you always be there to catch me?”
Haven softly replies, “if you will have me.”
Eric walking past them, “Okay this ain’t no date we
“Got an army to meet.”
They look at him and smile at each other. Haven puts her down.
Melissa and the others start walking up a huge hill.
It is covered with dead grass and some snakes are slithering nearby.
At the top of the hill stands Desmond and Gerald holding their staves.
As they meet at the top, everyone is looking around but to no avail. They only see Gerald and Desmond.
Haven, “Melissa, this is the army you spoke of?”
Walter looking at the two men,
“Damn geezers, what the hell are they gonna do?”
Michael looking at Melissa, “Yeah, did  you not see all those upper class heading to the  city square?”
Melissa looks at her brother, “Did you not hear me when I said we shall have an army?”
She nods her head at Desmond and Gerald.
Both Desmond and Gerald raise both arms toward the sky. They begin to turn around toward the other side of the hill.
Desmond, “Join and discover.”
Gerald, repeats the same.
“Join and discover.”
As they say that at the top of the hill and down the other side, hundreds of werewolves ready  and poised stand before them. A vast ferocious army of snarling teeth and trembling, anxious claws. They are ready for the word to attack, to show these higher class, cultured vampires what strength and power truly feel like.
Wayne is standing right in front of the group. He is directly behind Melissa.
Eric standing with his  hands on the handle of his sheathed sword, relaxed as if not even concerned with the new arrivals, looking at the horde,  he comments.
“Well, there you go.”
Stephanie, “Cool.”
Cynthia, “That’s fucking wicked!”
Haven looks at Melissa, “Have you lost your mind? You want to bring them into the city walls?!”
Michael, “I didn’t know there were this many grey wolves?”
Desmond, “all branches of the tribe have been united, we are ready to show our strength.”
Wayne looking at Haven,
“Are you scared little boy? You can stay here with  the Shamans, they will protect you.”
Haven begins to pull his sword.
Eric with his hand on his shoulder.
He gently tells him,
“Choose carefully what you want to die for, young prince.”
Haven moves his hand away from his sword. He looks Wayne in the eye.
“I am ready, for anything.”
On the outskirts of the city we see dozens of vampires with no armor just regular dark colored shirts and pants.
They are fighting with each other ferociously. There is a lone vampire in silver and gold trimmed armor, it is dirty and dented. He is standing a few yards from the skirmish.
Lone vampire shouts,
“Show me you have what it takes to be a knight for Lord Luscious!”
There is a shield placed in front of him.
“Fight as if your soulless existence depended on it. Cause it does, whoever is still in one piece goes on to the next phase.“
All of a sudden a thunder sounds and in the middle of the fighting vampires a big colorless whole opens, it knock some a few feet away. Everyone is looking in amazement and curiosity.
Teresa and Chad emerge from the nothingness.
Lone vampire pulls his sword from his side.
He addresses the two.
“Who are you and how dare you trespass!”
Chad, “quiet yourself whelp.”
Lone vampire stands upright and looks at the other vampires. Looks as if you are getting some extra training recruits. Take them.”
Teresa stepping ahead of Chad looks at the charging group of would be Knights.
Teresa, “Awww for me? You shouldn’t have.”
Just then one leaps at her with sword drawn. She catches him by the throat and  with her other hand breaks his blade.
Teresa is looking him in the eyes, “Congratulations, your first.”
She squeezes his neck and his head pops off and blood gushes from his neck. She joins the fray of angered vampires, unhinged violence commences. All that is heard are the tearing of limbs and the screams of the victims. Within moments she as mutilated all the vampires present except the lone vampire that questioned them. He stands there sword at the ready but stepping back a step or two.
Chad talking to the frightened knight.
“Next time it will do you justice to not be disrespectful to an Imperial, namely Teresa of the Ice.”
He hears this and falls to his knees and bows to her.
Teresa, “get up and go, tell no one of us.”
Vampire stands up, bows one last time and leaves quickly.
Back on the roof Joshua and Saint are standing, looking in opposite directions.
Saint, “You not much for talking are you friend?”
Joshua says nothing. Not even an acknowledgment. Joshua is still looking towards the horizon.
Joshua to Saint, “There are some party crashers on the horizon.”
Saint walking over.
“Maybe we should make haste before we get discovered and this gets more difficult.”
Joshua, “Too late.”
Just as he says that . Zykrel, Geran, Saige, Alex, and Christopher arrive on the roof.
Christopher, “Well if it isn’t Saint, the legendary traitor.”
Geran, “I am honored.”
Joshua just looks at them. Saint says nothing as well.
Zykrel walks up a few steps closer to the two.
Zykrel, “we are the Knight Guard of Lord Luscious, you shall not interfere with the ceremony.”
Just then trumpets from the middle of the city are sounding.
Saige looks at Joshua, “So it begins.”
